Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

There are two days in every week that we should not worry about, two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One is YESTERDAY, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.
YESTERDAY has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back YESTERDAY.
We cannot undo a single act we performed.
Nor can we erase a single word we've said - YESTERDAY is gone!

The other day we shouldn't worry about is TOMORROW, with its impossible adversaries, its burden, its hopeful promise and poor performance.
TOMORROW is beyond our control.
TOMORROW'S sun will rise either in splendour, or behind a mask of clouds - but it will rise.
And until it does, we have no stake in TOMORROW, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day - TODAY

Any person can fight the battles of just one day.
It is only when we add the burdens of ,  YESTERDAY and TOMORROW that we break down.
It is not the experience of TODAY that drives people mad, It is the remorse of bitterness for something, which happened YESTERDAY, and the dread of what TOMORROW may bring.
Let us, therefore, LIVE ONE DAY AT A TIME!

The Storm

And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive.
You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over.
But one thing is certain.
When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.

something to think about

Life

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Apology

It takes a great deal of character strength to apologize quickly out of one's heart rather than out of pity.

A person must possess himself and have a deep sense of security in fundamental principles and values in order to genuinely apologize.

~Stephan Covey

A New Day

This is the beginning of a new day.
You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good.
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...

let it be something good.

Last Minute Gift Suggestions

To your enemy, forgiveness.

To an opponent, tolerance.

To a friend, your heart.

To every child, a good example.

To all, charity.

To yourself, respect.

~Oren Arnold

Do More ...

Do more than belong ... participate.
Do more than care ... help.
Do more than believe ... practice.
Do more than be fair ... be kind.
Do more than forgive ... forget.
Do more than dream ... work.

~William Arthur Ward

Hit the nail ...

It really doesn't matter if the person who hurt you deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.
You have things to do and you want to move on.

I have learnt .....

I have learnt that the longer you stay on your high horse the harder you fall, the key is to get up dust yourself off and learn that it is not for you to judge people and their actions.
I have learnt that forgiveness is the most powerful healing  tool, it is not something you do for others, you do it for yourself to get well and move on.
I have learnt that you cannot blame previous circumstances for bad decisions you make, you are in control of your own future.
I have learnt that there is no such thing as forgive and forget, the human mind will never erase a memory however there will come a time when the feelings associated with the memory no longer hurt.
I have learnt never to regret any decision you have made, in life you will regret more the decisions you did not take then those that you did.
I have learnt that no matter how bad you think your situation is there is always someone who is facing a larger obstacle.
I have learnt that in your life you will be able to count the number of true friends on one hand, it is about the quality of your friends and not the quantity.
I have learnt that no matter how rich, skinny or popular you may be until you have self acceptance and self love you will never be truly happy.
I have learnt that there is no greater fulfillment for the soul than that of the acts of kindness.
I have learnt that family is not about whose blood runs through your veins it’s about who never left your side, it’s about who stood up for you and it’s about who believed in you.
I have learnt that the hardest lesson in life is to practice what you preach.
I have learnt that things happen in life for a reason, from each life experience whether it be good or bad there is a life lesson to be learnt.
I have learnt that you will never know the true strength of your character until you face your toughest hardship.
I have learnt that every day is a learning day in the school of life and I will continue to learn until I cease to exist.

Four Hardest Tasks ...

The four hardest tasks on earth are neither physical nor intellectual feats, but spiritual ones ...
  • to return love for hate
  • to include the excluded
  • to forgive without apology
and
  • to be able to say "I was wrong ..."

Ten Things to Remember ...

Your presence is a present to the world
You’re truly one of a kind
Your life can be what you want it to be
Take the days one at a time
Count your blessings, not you troubles
You’ll make it through whatever comes along
Within you are so many answers
Have courage
Be strong
Wish upon a star, and don’t ever forget … how special you are

Must Share ....

Something I read that I just had to share ......

A book is proof of an author.
A poem is proof of a poet.
A song is proof of a composer.
A product is proof of a manufacturer.
Creation is proof of a Creator.

Your logic will always compete with your faith. Your mind will compete with your heart.

For my bestest!

God didn't create us with the same bloodline
but he might as well have,
for we share a sacred sisterhood that
is stronger than any natural bond.
We are sister by choice .....
not by chance.

We accept each other "as is".
Whether laughing hysterically until we cry
or crying buckets of tears until we laugh,
you embrace all the goodness I have to offer
and then, with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

We are two kindred spirits ......
two wacky women .....
two forever friends.

Plan B

Plan A is always my first cloice .....
the one where everything always works out.
But more often than not,
I find myself dealing with the upside version
where nothing goes as it should.
It's at this point the real test
of my character comes in .....
Do I sink or do I swim?
Do I wallow in self pity
or do I simply shift gears and
make the best of the situation?
The choice is mine.
Life really is all about
how you handle Plan B!
