A Newborn's Conversation with God
A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.
And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
God said, You will simply call her, "Mom."

life's grand moments
If only life was just a dress rehearsal... And we had time for do-overs... We'd be able to practice and practice every moment until we got it right. Unfortunately, every day of our lives is its own performance. It seems like even when we get the chance to rehearse and prepare and practice, we're still never quite ready for life's grand moments.

count your blessing and your problems
if your problems out number your blessings count again.

Bottled up Emotions
It is important not to suppress your feelings altogether when you are depressed.
It is equally important to avoid terrible arguments or expressions of outrage.
You should steer clear of emotionally damaging behavior.
People forgive, but it is best not to stir things up to the point at which forgiveness is required.
When you are depressed, you need the love of other people, and yet depression fosters actions that destroy that love.
Depressed people often stick pins into their own life rafts.
The conscious mind can intervene.
One is not helpless.

what is life?
The adventure of life is to learn.
The purpose of life is to grow.
The nature of life is to change.
The challenge of life is to overcome.
The essence of life is to care.
The opportunity of life is to serve.
The secret of life is to dare.
The spice of life is to befriend.
The beauty of life is to give.
The joy of life is to love.

You are You & I am I
I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I,
and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.
(Fritz Perls, "Gestalt Therapy Verbatim", 1969)
The key idea of the statement is the focus on living in response to one's own needs. It also expresses the idea that it is by fulfilling their own needs that people can help others do the same and create space for genuine contact; that is, when they "find each other, it's beautiful."

accept your past without regrets
handle your present with confidence

Life goes on
you have to take the good with the bad,
smile when you are sad,
love what you have got and remember what you had.
always forgive but never forget,
learn from your mistakes!
people change,
things go wrong,
just remember ... life goes on ...
smile when you are sad,
love what you have got and remember what you had.
always forgive but never forget,
learn from your mistakes!
people change,
things go wrong,
just remember ... life goes on ...
life always offers you a second chance.
it's called tomorrow...

Hypocrisy
“The difference between my darkness and your darkness is that I can look at my own badness in the face and accept its existence while you are busy covering your mirror with a white linen sheet.
The difference between my sins and your sins is that when I sin I know I'm sinning while you have actually fallen prey to your own fabricated illusions.
I am a siren, a mermaid; I know that I am beautiful while basking on the ocean's waves and I know that I can eat flesh and bones at the bottom of the sea.
You are a white witch, a wizard; your spells are manipulations and your cauldron from hell yet you wrap yourself in white and wear a silver wig.”

Miracles ~ Serendipity ~ call it what you like
“If there are no miracles then we need to find another word for the existence of life – the existence of you and me – on earth.
Call it a gift from God (higher spirit or god in whatever form works for you), serendipity, happenstance or plain good fortune.
I invite you to look at your life as if it were a miracle. To treat your life in any other way seems to me to be a terrible waste of your unique presence on this planet.”

adversity & challenges
It doesn't make any difference whether what you face is something that affects your work, your personal relationships, your sense of security, your appraisal of self-worth, or your appearance--the way you think about your situation largely determines whether you will do anything about it and what you will do.
*****
Life is difficult.
This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult--once we truly understand and accept it--then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.
*****
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Love is
Love is knowing you will spend every day, of every week, of every month, of every season, of every year for the rest of your life with this person, and thinking, "This is exactly what I want"
Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.

Time is Powerful
When a bird is alive... it eats Ants ~ When the bird is dead... Ants eat the bird!
So... Time & Circumstances can change at any time...
Don't devalue or hurt anyone in life.
You may be powerful today... But Remember...
Time is more powerful than You
One tree makes a million match sticks... But when the time comes...
Only one match stick is needed to burn a million trees…

change IS good
Changes makes you flexible. Being stubborn and resistant to new things will make a normally stressing situation even more so. Change helps you be fluid and go with the flow.
*****
Change makes you smarter. If things never changed, you’d never learn anything new. And every time you learn a new skill — even if it’s just how to adapt — you are that much smarter than you were yesterday.
*****
Change reminds us that anything is possible. It’s easy to think that anything that’s stuck will always be that way. But when you see things change, whether it’s in your life or some one else’s, it’s encouragement to know that nothing stays the same forever.

love others
Do not hate anybody.
The hatred which comes out from you will someday comeback to you.
Love others. And Love will comeback to you.
heart-in-a-box
It's a little bit horrifying just how quickly everything can fall to crap. Sometimes it takes a huge loss to remind you of who you care about the most. Sometimes you find yourself becoming stronger as a result; wiser, better equipped to deal with the next disaster that comes along. Sometimes, but not always.

being a parent
When we choose to be parents,
we accept another human being as part of ourselves,
and a large part of our emotional selves
will stay with that person as long as we live.
From that time on,
there will be another person on this earth whose orbit around us
will affect us as surely as the moon affects the tides,
and affect us in some ways more deeply than anyone else can.
Our children are extensions of ourselves.
If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

Perfect for Me
“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can.
He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give.
Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.”

How to apologise
An apology is an expression of remorse or guilt over having said or done something that is hurtful or damaging, and a request for forgiveness. However, it can be difficult to swallow our pride and say "I'm sorry." If you have a difficult time making amends for mistakes or repairing the effects of angry words, here's how to keep your dignity while being humble, and invite forgiveness with grace. If this person ever meant anything to you or had a major impact on your life, you should apologise
1. Determine what went wrong
2. Take full responsibility for the offense, without sharing the blame with anyone else, and without presenting mitigating circumstances
3. Realise that there are no excuses.
4. Decide when to apologise
5. Write your apology down.
6. Begin the apology by specifying your offenses and the feelings your actions may have caused.
7. Make amends.
8. Express your appreciation for the role that they play in your life, emphasising that you do not want to jeopardize or damage the relationship
9. Ask if they will give you another chance to make up for what you did wrong.
10. Be patient.
11. Stick to your word.
12. If the person you apologise to rejects and hates your apology, they don't deserve one.
